Huge New Jay-Z Conspiracy Claims ‘4:44’ Refers To The Solange Incident

Happy hump day! Here’s your hip-hop adjacent conspiracy theory for the week to chew on.

People have obviously been wondering what the relevance is of Jay-Z‘s new album title 4:44 since it was announced. We might be edging closer to some kind of answer, now: Twitter user Stephen Ossola identified a possible clue which for some reason hasn’t been picked up on before.
Turns out that The Standard Hotel in New York City – where Solange Knowles famously whaled on Jay, as captured by now iconic security footage – is located at number 444.

As for why nobody has managed to pick this up before, other Twitter users quickly identified that number 444 is definitely not the main entrance to the hotel. Some thought it was a gift shop, or secondary property instead.

One particularly enterprising user actually called the hotel and found that 444 West 13th Street is indeed a secondary entrance… where you can take an elevator directly to the top floor.

Elevator… top floor… whoah.

I therefore, with my authority as someone who has listened to the album and also looks at tweets, officially rate this theory as TRUE. I will be taking no further feedback at this time.
But nah, seriously, it seems like it’s too good not to be true. Stay tuned for Jay to remain entirely mum on this until the next theory rolls around.
