Holy Ghost! Enlist Classixx To Play Live

We were epically bummed that Holy Ghost! canceled their Australia tour but in a recent interview with xlr8r the NYC duo and DFA approved disco merchants had us reaching for the Xanax.

To help translate their synth heavy sound live the duo have enlisted disco revivalists and West Coast brethren Classixx to tickle the ivory. That’s our two favourite remixers of 2009 jamming it out in a sweaty pile of analogue synthesizers, glitter and good vibes. Do you know how epic that is? Do you know how excited we are to see this shit live? Do you know much weight we’d lose in the ensuing dance off? Phew. Calm down now. This live setup doesn’t exist quite yet but reading about it makes us want to take our shirts off and dance on tables. Check out the quote below…

‘It’s going to be a five-person band, everyone playing, everyone using basically every available limb,’ Millhiser explains. Frankel adds, ‘Some of it’s very hard because it’s like playing one part with your left hand, another with the right hand, and singing at the same time. We brought in these guys Tyler [Blake] and Michael [David] who are in the band Classixx, and they are doing a lot of the hard stuff.’
