Hold Onto Your Butts, Frozen 2 Is Apparently In The Works

Fans of crying and singing with shower-like enthusiasm whilst in a cinema, rejoice. The seemingly inevitable news that much beloved Disney animated festival of feels Frozen will be getting itself a fancy, shiny new sequel has at long last arrived.

The avalanche of money that earns you the title of “Highest grossing animated film of all time” was always going to pique the interest of movie executives, for whom going back to a well-worn well is the much preferred option to risking another new story – y’know, not at all unlike the single person at a wedding who has one too many whisky sour’s and dances with the crummy ex rather than taking a chance and talking to that cute someone who they’d been making flirty eyes with all through the toasts.
The confirmation that a second lick of the pole is at least in the works comes from Adele Dalziem Idina Menzel who famously provided the mean set of pipes behind world-melting smash hit “Let It Go.”

Whilst speaking to the UK’s TelegraphMenzel revealed that not only is the sequel is a big ole’ fashion G-O, but that a Broadway musical is also very much a thing that’s happening; confirming the existence of both with the very succinct affirmation, “…they’re all in the works.
But on the subject of her involvement in the two projects, the woman whose name John Travolta just can’t seem to get right, bless his heart, became a little bit more cagey.

Not the stage show – I don’t know what will happen with that – but the movie hopefully. We’ll see. I’m just going along for the ride.

So it seems that you, the audience, haven’t been able to let it (the film) go, and neither have the studio executives (let go of the idea of cashing in on a wildly successful project and extending the series into a franchise that will bring naught but mountains of additional profit).
There’s no official timeline for any release as of yet. Which means you’ve maybe got enough time to emotionally prepare.
