Pop music legends Hall & Oates are touring Australia in 2012. If you aren’t familiar with the work of Daryl Hall and John Oates that’s odd considering their 30+ hit singles and millions upon millions of albums sold in the 1970s and ’80s and, more recently, having their bouncy single “You Make My Dreams” feature in two hit movies The Wedding Singer (montage sequence where Adam Sandler helps Drew Barrymore taste wedding cakes etc) and 500 Days Of Summer. If you want to enjoy that hit and others live (“Maneater”, “”Say It Isn’t So” and “Every Time You Go Away”) you should get on board their Australian tour – which also features support act Icehouse. That’s a lot of classic hits for one evening. With that many hits you have to be a “rich girl” to afford tickets (groan), with GA seating starting at AU $110.00.
