The first rule of Taylor Swift is that YOU DON’T EVER FUCKING CROSS TAYLOR SWIFT, something that Grizzly Bear‘s Ed Droste has just found out the hard way, after a long-standing grudge against the ‘Blank Space’ singer came to light.
In February of this year, the Brooklyn musician sent out a series of Tweets (now deleted, obviously) alluding to a very famous pop star he had met, and who evidently gave him the old brush-off.
He said at the time:
“Met a celebrity I always speculated was terribly calculated and mean, and they exceeded all my expectations of rudeness and arrogance. HATE …If you know please don’t @ the person, they see all and have the capacity and desire to destroy, seriously, please just know and lol. I’m too petrified of their insane power. No need to speculate, just HAD to voice my disgust.”
Earlier today, though, Droste let the cat(tiness) out of the bag when he Tweeted out an article about how all Taylor Swift’s friends secretly hate and fear her behind her back. Then all goddamn hell broke loose.

When people questioned him, he said that he has a “whole other story” to tell about Tay, but still feels “unsafe” doing so, adding that “she’s been given a free pass for too long.”
“She frightens me genuinely,” he said, going on to describe her as “calculating”, and retweeting someone else who said “I want to just put out here that I’ve always known Taylor swift was [as] immensely evil as she is powerful.”
Swift has not yet sent out a perfectly-pitched reply, but Droste already has a lot of angry Tweets coming his way from a lot of angry Swifties, the tone of which he summed up like so:
