Grimes has announced that she has “finally” caught COVID-19, possibly making her the first person ever to appear happy about catching the potentially-deadly virus.
In an Instagram story, the artist wrote: “Finally got COVID but weirdly enjoying the Dayquil fever dream.”

Grimes also linked to “Good Days” by SZA, for some reason.
Not really sure what’s “good” about testing positive for the coronavirus, but the song’s still a banger nonetheless.
And hey, it’s at least nicer to be enjoying Dayquil fever dreams than to be struggling to breathe in an ICU.
Grimes has a history of saying provocative shit as part of her cyberpunk-esque image. It’s almost the pandemic equivalent of the time she released billboards saying “global warming is good”.
Her partner Elon Musk – now the richest man in the world – also tested positive for a “mild” case of COVID-19 last year.
That was, of course, after he had been spreading misinformation about the pandemic online for months.

Among other irresponsible anti-lockdown comments, Musk tweeted that “Sweden was right.” For those keeping track, things in Sweden are really not good.
