Greg Gillis aka Girl Talk aka The DJ who doesn’t wear pants aka The party jams master is set to release a new CD clocking in at 55 minutes and featuring over 300 samples.
Yep, you read that correctly 300. Shit Gillis, bored much? Either Gillis is seriously underestimating the attention spans of modern audiences or in true Girl Talk fashion we can look forward to genre clashing blink and you’ll miss it mixes, re-edits, and mash ups somewhere between Optimo Espacio and 2ManyDrugs. In what will be the inevitable soundtrack to summer this album will single-handedly make all wannabe DJ’s redundant at house parties, and is that really such a bad thing?
Gillis said of the process “For the final editing process, I probably worked eight hours a day, Monday through Friday, for about 3 months…I worked very hard to make it sound like I didn’t work hard.” The album is called “Feed The Animals” and will be available for digital download in the not too distant future….
