This is fucking awesome and, well, surprising: Idris Elba is smashing out a DJ set in our own beautiful country tomorrow night. Presumably in the country for ‘Thor 3‘ (or maybe just because Australia is nice to visit, who knows), he’ll be hitting the 1s and 2s at Sydney‘s Goodbar tomorrow night.
The unbelievably handsome Elba is famous for his work as Stringer Bell in wildly critically acclaimed show ‘The Wire‘, as well as roles in ‘Prometheus‘, ‘Pacific Rim‘, ‘Thor‘ and a whole grip of others. He’s also set to star as main character Roland in the upcoming TV adaptation of Stephen King‘s ‘The Dark Tower‘.
He’s also had a pretty long music career, which I (embarrassingly) was completely unaware of – including this surprisingly dope banger:
The set’ll be in Goodbar’s The Underground and he’ll be joined by Nicky Night Time and Handles, shit kicks off 8pm – if you’re keen to get amongst it, Goodbar is at 11a Oxford Street, Paddington. Entry is free so, really, you’ve got no excuse.
