“Proud” is the new single from Geoffrey O’Connor’s debut album Vanity is Forever (read his track-by-track breakdown here) and one jam which he describes as “about as close to reggae as I’ll ever get.” To celebrate it’s release, our pals at Chapter Music (O’Connor, Twerps, Dick Diver) have teamed up with Sydney’s Yes Please to release a bandcamp EP in which the entire Yes Please stable – Guerre, Oliver Tank and The Townhouses – rework songs from O’Connor’s LP. Easy. The EP will be available on O’Connor’s bandcamp Friday but in the meantime stream an exclusive preview of Guerre’s “Proud” rework below.
Geoffrey O’Connor is currently on an east coast tour with Alpine and will then tour as part of St Jerome’s Laneway Festival.
