Ja Rule Releases New Track ‘FYRE’, Attempting To Extinguish The Whole Damn Clusterfuck

A month after being officially cleared of any wrongdoing in that $100 million lawsuit concerning the royal clusterfuck that was Fyre Festival, Ja Rule has now released a new track, aptly titled ‘FYRE’. The track ignites the embers that remain post-Fyre, recounting the aftermath of the fraudulent luxe event that put co-founder Billy McFarland behind bars. (Sidebar: can we please appreciate Jersey Shore’s Mike ‘The Situation’ calling Billy a “bonehead” when they were behind bars together? That respective yarn is HERE.)

“For your real entertainment,” he begins, “I’m ’bout to tell you how that shit went down, from the horse’s mouth.” OOP. He’s coming for blood.

Notable verse: “Hotter than the sun, but it wasn’t that / Show of hands if you got your money back / Just playing, I got sued for that / $100 mill to be exact / I know you lack empathy for the one that’s me / But I too was bamboozled and led astray.”

These lyrics coincide with Ja’s tweets back in January, following the release of Netflix’s Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened, that he “too was hustled, scammed, bamboozled, hood winked, lead astray!!!” (Bamboozled is apparently word of the day. Noted.)

Ja took to the comments to assure fans that they could expect a new album early next year. “I’m still working on the album it’s coming out dope… be patient wit me I’m working on a lot!!! Feb. 29 new date my bday…”
