Local vinyl emporium Spank! Records, together with boundary-pushing electronic label Future Classic have combined forces to launch one lucky producer/muso/beat-junkie’s career the only way they know how. This is the the third year in a row that Spank! have gotten involved with the sounds at street level, having previously teamed up with Ajax‘s Sweat It Out! label and Bang Gang 12 Inches.
The Spank! Originals competition varies on previous formulas by focusing on original work rather than remixes. There’s a veritable shitload of gear to be won, as well as the chance to have your tune put out on shiny black wax by the Future Classic dudes as they take you under their wing and promote you, put you on tour and generally turn you into the next Levins.
