Have Fun Uncomfortably Watching These Legends Give Karaoke A Red-Hot Go

Karaoke can go one of two ways: someone either owns that stage like the natural-born performer they are or they fail so miserably that it’s pure embarrassment gold. There’s no in between.

AirAsia recently put that to the test by asking you to share your monstrous or angelic karaoke voice with them, all by dangling  one hell of a prize in front of your noses.

You see, it was all for the chance to win a mother flippin’ trip to Tokyo with Guy Sebastian, including  him taking you to the city’s most primo karaoke joints.

So without further ado, it’s time to announce our big winner-winner-Tokyo-dinner.

*drum roll*

LACHLAN GERAGHTY. YOU GO LACHLAN GERAGHTY.

Congrats, karaoke king. You’re gonna have an absolute hoot galavanting around Tokyo with an Australian icon by your side.

BUT WAIT. THERE’S MORE.

We promised you a runner-up would be heading off to Bali and that lucky person is…

*drum roll*

WILLIAM SINGH. YOU GO WILLIAM SINGH.

Thank you for sharing your pipes Lachlan and Will. And thank you to everyone who entered / sacrificed their dignity for one very tempting money-can’t-buy prize. For more notable karaoke entries keep scrolling, or, alternatively you can see all the LOL entries HERE.

Amazing. Simply amazing. They might not have won the trip to Japan but they sure have won our hearts.

Keen to get to Japan (home to some of the best karaoke bars going ‘round) yourself? AirAsia can hook you the hell up with flights to the destination daily from the Gold Coast, Melbourne, Sydney + twice daily from Perth.

Other than karaoke, Tokyo has so much crazy (the best kind, of course) to offer, including insane art, design, music, food and buzzing events.

If you like your cuisine served by a robot or wearing face masks that bear zero resemblance to the cow / pig / dog on the packaging, then the East Asia jewel is right up your alley.

You can also explore Kobe by heading to Kansai International Airport from Melbourne, Sydney, Perth twice daily + 12x a week from the Gold Coast. Head HERE to learn more.
