Frightened Rabbit Frontman Scott Hutchison Has Been Reported Missing

Grave fears are held for Scott Hutchison, the lead singer of Scottish indie band Frightened Rabbit, after the frontman was reported missing by family and bandmates overnight.

Hutchison, 36, has not been seen since he left the Dakota Hotel in South Queensferry, about half an hour west of Edinburgh, at around 1:00am on Wednesday morning local time.

Family members reported him missing on Wednesday, and police believe he may now be in the Edinburgh area.

Scott’s brother and bandmate Grant Hutchison posted a plea for information on Instagram, noting that Scott had been in an “very fragile state” prior to his disappearance.

Similarly, the band used their social media channel to express their concerns for Scott’s welfare, appealing to the public to assist them in locating him.

Prior to his disappearance, Hutchison posted a pair of worrying Tweets, time-stamped at around 11:00pm on Tuesday night, two hours before he was last seen.

Scottish police inspector Graeme Dignan issued a statement to media calling for Scott to contact his family as soon as he possibly can.

We are keen to locate Scott as soon as possible to ensure he is safe and well and would urge anyone who can assist with our ongoing inquiries to come forward.

If you believe you have seen him since the early hours of Wednesday morning or know where he currently is, then please contact police immediately.

I’d also urge Scott to get in touch with family, friends or with police, to let us know he is alright.

Scott Hutchison formed Frightened Rabbit in 2003 as a solo project, adding brother Grant on drums in 2004 after expanding it into a fully fledged band.

The group, originally from Selkirk in the Scottish borders, has recorded five studio albums, last releasing Painting of a Panic Attack in 2016.
