Brad Pitt‘s had a rough trot lately, what with his messy divorce from Angelina Jolie.
Months ago, in an interview with GQ, the Hollywood demi-god admitted that Frank Ocean‘s A++ album ‘Blonde’ was helping him work through some shit.
“I’ve been listening to a lot of Frank Ocean,” Pitt said of his post-divorce listening habits. “I find this young man so special. Talk about getting to the raw truth. He’s painfully honest. He’s very, very special. I can’t find a bad one.”
Word obviously got back to the man himself, because Ocean hauled Pitt on stage during his set at FYF Fest in Los Angeles over the weekend, with the actor delivering a piece of performance art directed by Spike Friggin’ Jonze as he was serenaded with ‘Close to You’ and a cover of Jackson 5 choon ‘Never Can Say Goodbye.’
Pitt stood by the side of the stage, with his ear to a phone; occasionally, he’d pretend to talk into it, with both him and Ocean projected onto huge screens as the crowd lost their minds.
As one concertgoer said, it’s pretty much the most LA thing ever (but also kinda cute when you consider how big a Frank fan Pitt really is).
And here they are from side-of-stage:
