Foul-Mouthed Angel Adele Halts Sydney Concert After Unwell Fan Collapses

We all know that Adele is the voice of our era – multi award-winning, squillion album-selling, ginormous billboard-having superstar that she is. But as Australia has been discovering over the course of the singer’s first tour of the country, she’s also funny, spontaneous, charming, and has a heart of gold.
Case in point: she stopped the whole show in Sydney last night when she found out a fan had collapsed.
According to 9NEWS, a 47-year-old female punter had collapsed in cardiac arrest. She was taken to hospital in a serious condition, and the concert paused while she was attended to.
In the footage of the moment, lights flash in a darkened stadium before Adele’s voice cuts through, sounding close to tears:
“Sorry, can we stop? I’m sorry – sorry, there’s someone not well and I’m a bit worried because there’s fireworks in this one and I don’t want to scare her.

Someone got hurt, or something… sorry. Sorry, I fucking ruined the surprise for you, didn’t I?”
Bless you, Adele – as foul-mouthed and gentle-hearted as the best of them. No wonder we love her so much.
