Flume and Birds Of Tokyo Lead 2013 Aria Nominations

While last year’s ARIA awards was essentially a certified Festival Of Gotye, today’s announcement of the 2013 ARIA award nominations presents a satisfyingly diverse landscape of talented Australian artists that make our music industry so beloved, so special and so inspiring that people are willing to move here for it especially.

Naturally, the star of this year’s awards is electronic remix hero Flume, who has nabbed noms in four of the main categories, plus three of the four publicly voted categories (song of the year, best video, best live act). Other impressive nomination-pullers are Birds Of Tokyo, the legendary Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds and ARIA veterans Boy & Bear, Big Scary, Sarah Blasko, Empire Of The Sun and Tame Impala.

The ARIAs will be held on Sunday, December 1 at The Star, Sydney. Be sure to put in your two cents on the Aussie music industry by participating in the public voting categories as detailed below.
