Some quick festival news you guys…
Parklife have an important announcement to make; the date of their 2011 lineup announcement. Now we know how Tony Soprano’s therapist’s therapist felt. The first round of acts will be announced by Triple J’s Tom and Alex on the morning of June 16, so stay tuned. For now, here are the festival dates and locations:
Sat 24 Sept – Melbourne (Myer Music Bowl & Kings Domain)
Sun 25 Sept – Perth (Wellington Square)
Sat 1 Oct – Brisbane (City Botanic Gardens)
Sun 2 Oct – Sydney (Kippax Lake, Centennial Park)
Mon 3 Oct – Adelaide (Botanic Park)
In other festival news UK import V Festival may soon return to Australian shores. The last V Festival was held in 2009 and featured The Human League, The Killers and The Kaiser Chiefs. In an interview with Marketing Mag Virgin spokeswoman Amber Morris discussed the festival’s imminent return saying “It’s actually run through Virgin Management, and Virgin Mobile are the sponsor…Virgin management is the umbrella for all of the Virgin businesses. As far as I know they are still looking in to it, it has just been a hold for a couple of years.”
