Exclusive: Lorde Talks Famous Fans, Replacing Frank Ocean and The Vibe of “Pure Heroine”

Lorde is having one hell of a 2013. Her electronic anti-pop anthems “Royals” and “Tennis Courts” are threatening global domination, she was roped in as an 11th hour replacement for an ailing Frank Ocean at Splendour, she’s been remixd by The Weeknd, hinted at a Flume collaboration, and earlier this month she topped the Billboard Alternative Songs chart, the first female artist to do so since 1996. Somehow, the New Zealander has managed to stay cool, calm and collected throughout all this, and she sat down exclusively with Pedestrian to talk fame, Pharrell and festival performances, and even answer some of your questions.

Lorde‘s debut album “Pure Heroine” drops September 27th, and she tours Australia in October.
