Today in strange equine crimes committed by former rock stars, a case of runaway horses has led to the arrest of former Smashing Pumpkin’s bassist D’arcy Wretzky.
In 2009, Wretzky breached the Michigan state’s ‘Animals Running at Large’ law by letting her own horses run free, much to the dismay of her neighbours. After a series of complaints, Wretzky was issued a fine. As a result of refusing to pay and failing to turn up to four scheduled court appearances, Wretzky was arrested on Tuesday. While news of this was kept under wraps until now, Wretzky’s ex-boyfriend Jeff Khoshaba did her a massive favour by tipping off TMZ, mug shot and all. Wretzky is due for release Monday. Even Billy Corgan is like “that’s weird, dude”.
