These Emerging Aussie Artists Could Be The Next Big Thing In Music

emerging aussie artists

If there’s one thing that unites us all, it’s the deep and all-consuming importance we feel when recommending new music to a mate. It’s a serious mood and can genuinely make you feel like a champion among humans when you hit them with a banger from an artist they’d never even heard of.

So we’ve rather thoughtfully compiled a list of fresh new artists that are in the running to win a ridic great deal – a contract with Universal Music incl. mentoring from Alex Dyson and a worldwide release of their song. Oh and a music video. Just casually.

It’s all part of the Project Aloft Star 2018 comp, with musos around Australia vying for the chance to score those prizes, as well as bragging rights for all eternity. Check out some of the entries below if you like pleasing your ears.

D-Stellar

Self-proclaimed producers of ‘ass-shackin’ tunes, D-Stellar are a duo that deliver a blend of rock n roll and hip hop.

KÖDA

Her recent single debuted at number 1 on the triple J unearthed charts, and we’re pretty ready to welcome a bit of KÖDA into our eardrums.

D.Minor

With lyrics inspired by a pretty hectic life, D.Minor won gold for Australia at the 19th Annual World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) – so he’s got the credentials.
