Ed Sheeran is a man true to his word. After announcing on NYD that he’d be dropping new music on Friday, he’s gone and bloody done it. What a dude.

He’s also added more cream to your seams with the announcement on not just one, but two singles, just so you’re damn certain he was worth the wait.
Cause I’ve been away for a bit here’s two singles rather than one – Castle On The Hill & Shape Of You https://t.co/QuZMnEhS8P pic.twitter.com/VCznN8nLd4

The frothed-over Brit has had a big ol’ hiatus from music (and social media for that matter – was sick of living life ‘through a screen’ etc), which is why this is such a biggy. 18 months to be exact. That’s a long time for the fandom, you know. That’s like two pregnancies or the exact cut off for attributing months to children instead of years. Don’t even get me started on the latter, honestly.
The first single is called ‘Shape Of You‘ and yep – you guessed it – it’s about that body thing all of us possess, and the second is ‘Castle On The Hill‘. We can only assume these are the first of a string of bangers that will make up his long-awaited third album, which is likely to be called a “÷”, if this below tweet is anything to go by.

Maths, for album titles? Groundbreaking.
Listen to the new tunes below, because they’re likely to get flogged (among other things) on the radio in the coming weeks.
