Eagles Of Death Metal have just announced a slew of Australian headline shows, to coincide with their slot at this year’s Bluesfest in Byron Bay.
They’ve obviously heard of Perth‘s frequent devastation of missing out on ‘Australian tours’, as they’re swinging by Fremantle after hitting up Sydney and Melbourne.
It’ll be the first time EODM have visited Australia since they became irrevocably linked with the November 2015 Paris Attacks, when terrorists stormed the Bataclan Theatre mid-way through their gig and massacred 89 people.
The theatre has been closed since the attacks, but the club owners released a hopeful statement on Wednesday that said “we’ll do our best to host events before the end of 2016.” Bless.
Flowers have lain outside the theatre since the attacks last year:
Whilst in Paris today we walked past #bataclan @le_bataclan & also #placedelarepublique . Very moving experience. pic.twitter.com/b6t0pJlV6g
