Dua Lipa’s Dad Organised A Fest In Their Hometown & You Bet She’s Headlining It

If you happen to find yourself in South East Europe this August, or to be more precise, Kosova then Dua Lipa’s going to be headlining a festival organised by her dad, Dukagjin Lipa because this family is incredibly powerful.

It’s always been a dream for Papa Lipa to have Kosova culturally recognised for its contribution to the arts, a dream made reality with the help of his wildly successful daughter. SunnyHill Festival will run for three days in their hometown with a quarter of ticket proceeds going to the Sunny Hill Foundation – an organisation aimed at helping underprivileged youth reach their potential in the creative arts. The foundation is under the patronage of the Blow Your Mind singer.

The 22-year-old posted news of the festival to her social media and praised Papa Lipa for all his hard work in making the festival happen.

On Instagram she wrote:

“I’d like to think I got some of my persistence and hunger from both my parents who have showed me that hard work will always shine through. He had an idea to create a festival in Prishtina, Kosova with lots of international and home acts to really help put Kosova on the map culturally.

We have been so lucky to have all our friends join us for one of the most fun and musically diverse line-ups in the region…

…I’m so excited to head down a few days prior to the festival to do some work with the charity and to visit my hometown!”

Artists set to appear are rapper Action Bronson, R&B singer Grace Carter, SG Lewis, Bondax, and local talent Dren Abazi and his Zig Zag Orchestra.
