Today, on the day that would have been Trayvon Martin‘s 19th birthday, it has been announced that the man responsible for his death will be going head to head with DMX in a ‘celebrity’ boxing match sometime in March of this year.
According to his ‘promoters’ the man who was found not guilty in the death of the late seventeen year old Trayvon Martin, after shooting him dead last year in Sanford, Florida, wanted to face Kanye West in the ring because Yeezus is known for attacking “defenceless people.”
After a case that received world-wide attention and led to a US-wide conversation surrounding racial profiling there are many who still believe the verdict to be a gross miscarriage of justice.
According to ‘celebrity boxing promoter’ Damon Feldman, more than 15,000 people volunteered to go one-on-one with Zimmerman, and that DMX was ultimately chosen because of his enthusiasm for the task. The 43-year old rapper has previously said that he wants to do it for “every black person who has been done wrong in the system.”
He also said, “I am going to beat the living fuck out him … I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I fuck him right up. Once I am done with him, I am going to whip my dick out and piss on him … right in his muthafuckin face.”
He then added that: “Zimmerman is a piece of shit and that’s what he needs to drink.”
