Destiny’s Child To Release First Single In 8 Years

Fresh on the back of news that JT will be making his musical comeback, Destiny’s Child look set to keep retro pop fans jumpin’ (jumpin’) as they release Nuclear, their first song in 8 years. Teaming up with fellow turn of the century ‘so hot right now’ R’n’B powerhouse Pharrell Williams, the single will round out the group’s new compilation of love songs titled, er, Love Songs.

Fans have every right to be a little skeptical as one-off recordings that bookend best of releases – or a collection “romantic, passionate and sensual selections” in this instance – rarely hold their own against the rest of the album. But considering Beyoncé’s stellar record, we doubt she’d get behind any old thing that was slapped together at the last minute. She posted this on her website “I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny’s Child music in eight years!” In Beyoncé we trust.

The Album will drop on the 29th of January.
