Demi Lovato Drops Video For ‘I Love Me’ & All The Easter Eggs Have Me Sobbing Uncontrollably

Demi Lovato just dropped “I Love Me”, and the accompanying video is stacked with a whole basket of emotional Easter eggs.

The video begins with Demi wrangling with her angel and devil selves, before silencing the devil – literally body-slamming her into a glass table (mood).

Now out on a New York street, in a coat that I simply need to purchase right now, Demi passes a young band dressed, with the lead-singer dressed as Mitchie Torres (à la ’08’s Camp Rock).

A slightly more discrete nugget of visual tea is the bride and groom that briefly pass Demi. Could this be reference to Wilmer Valderrama, her former partner of 6 years who recently announced his engagement to model Amanda Pacheco? I’ll let you be the judge.

The most poignant moment of the video has to be Demi passing a woman who’s being wheeled into an ambulance. She touches her on the shoulder and, at the moment, I broke. I couldn’t help but wail at my desk.

Video aside, the lyrics are powerful. Phrases such as “I’m a black belt when I’m beating up on myself”, “I’m guilty ’bout everything that I eat”, “voices in my head make up my entourage” offer candid insight into Demi’s state of mind prior to the overdose.

Above all else, though, I reckon we can all agree that it’s so damn good to see her smiling again.

I’m now extremely emotional after watching the video – all happy tears of course – and will be taking no further questions at this point in time. Please respect my privacy.

I swear, this new meme of Celine Dion applies to every situation ever. I’ll be including this snapshot in every article for the rest of 2020 to prove my point.

Check out the video below, which will have you grinning… then sobbing uncontrollably… then grinning. Very therapeutic actually.
