The game of padded music chairs currently shaping Australia’s competition based reality TV landscape continues with news that 55 year old Welsh comedienne Dawn French – most notably of UK sketch comedy duo French and Saunders – will be joining the judging panel on Nine’s newly acquired Australia’s Got Talent.
French joins the also-newly-acquired Mel B whose freshly vacated seat on rival Seven’s X Factor Australia is said to be filled by former X Factor UK and Australia’s Got Talent overlord Dannii Minogue, whose TV judging credentials will soon extend to fashion when she joins the cast of Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model later this year. Good on you for forging a career in being professionally judgmental, Dannii Minogue.
Mel B, also a former recurring guest judge on the X Factor UK and co-host of Dancing With The Stars Australia, is currently a judge on America’s Got Talent. This is not confusing at all.
