Dave Grohl Scores His Own HBO Show, Likely To Make Music Fans Froth

Foo Fighter‘s frontman, Nirvana drummer and He Of The Questionable Goatee Dave Grohl has scored himself a TV show on HBO.

The musician’s wet dream will see him visit and record at the world’s best recording studios and follows on from his acclaimed documentary Sound City (based on the LA studio of the same name). Throughout the as-yet-to-be-named series Grohl will interview artists who’ve laid down tracks at each of the studios, like KISS frontman Paul Stanley and The Eagles‘ own Joe Walsh, before recording there himself.

Studios featured in the series include Don Zientara’s Inner Ear Studios in Washington DC, Steve Albini’s Electrical Audio Studio in Chicago and Rancho De La Luna studios in California – the space where Queens of the Stone Age and Arctic Monkeys have committed sounds to tape – with a few more studios in New York, Seattle and Nashville also on the cards.

Untitled Dave Grohl Project is expected to be a part of HBO’s winter schedule.

In the meantime though, watch Sound City to get your daily Grohl fix.
