Daniel Johns and Gotye Added to Triple J’s Beat The Drum Festival

National broadcaster triple j is turning 40 soon and can do whatever it damn well pleases, so it’s throwing itself a great big birthday concert, Beat The Drum, and some bloody ripper Aussie talent has just been added to the bill.
One of the most exciting is a rare performance from Silverchair front man Daniel Johns, who has been teasing new solo material for a while, and might be on the way to releasing an album.
Also on the bill is Gotye, who hasn’t released any new music under his own name since the massive international success of Making Mirrors, and a track you might have heard called ‘Somebody That I Used To Know.’

The Cat Empire
