The Dan Andrews ‘Get On The Beers’ Remix Could Actually Crack The Top 20 In The Hottest 100

There’s a pretty solid chance Mashd N Kutcher‘s iconic techno remix of Dan Andrews telling us to “Get On The Beers” could place pretty highly on the Triple J Hottest 100 this weekend.

The website 100 Warm Tunas, which estimates what the Hottest 100 ranking will be based off people submitting screenshots of their votes, reckons ‘Get On The Beers’ could come in at around #16.

That would be a pretty fitting way to memorialise one of the most iconic moments of last year, when Melburnians were finally allowed to head down to the pub and sip on the hopsy nectar of a Froth Whitlam.

Now that everyone’s been posting their Hottest 100 votes on social media, it seems this prediction is pretty solid.

Take a look at just a fraction of the screenshots Mashd N Kutcher reshared on their Insta story:

Meanwhile on Twitter, even more people are throwing their weight behind the cause, not only sharing who they voted for, but encouraging everyone else to back the Dandrews anthem, too.

It’s not just a meme, either. Aussies really have been playing the shit out of this song for months before Hottest 100 voting even started.

Not only did it chart at #2 on the iTunes charts, but it’s also clocked over 1.4 million streams on Spotify.

Suffice to say, this absolute banger is a worthy contender for the nation’s biggest music ranking.

Don’t write it off. It’s fun, it slaps, and it’s the perfect way to say ‘fuck you’ to the utter dumpster fire that was last year.

The only bad news is that voting has already closed for the Hottest 100, and all submissions are final.

The countdown is set to air this weekend on Saturday, January 23 from midday onwards.

Fingers crossed Dan Andrews’ dulcet tones and Mashd N Kutcher’s flawless production will grace the airwaves later during the arvo.
