Courtney Love Offering Nirvana Songs To X-Factor

Courtney Love has been caught out prostituting the holy grail of grunge by offering one of Nirvana‘s songs for use on reality TV show X-Factor.

Love tweeted X-Factor main man and enemy to rational peoples’ eardrums Simon Cowell, saying she was totally cool with X-Factor contestant Janet Devlin to cover a Nirvana song in an attempt to win the latest series of the show after finding out she came from the same town as her late husband Kurt Cobain‘s ancestors in Ireland. Coincidentally, the Anti-X Factor Xmas campaign, which last year successfully pushed Rage Against The Machine‘s ‘Killing In The Name’ to No. 1 on the UK charts in order to shame X-Factor is using ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ this year. That should be sufficiently awkward.

Love, who was married to frontman Cobain for 3 years and can make music news just by opening her mouth, recently pulled out of Soundwave festival after finding out that she was on the same bill as Limp Bizkit. She also called Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl’s Foo Fighters ‘gay’ last week and allowed a playable likeness of Kurt for Guitar Hero 5.
