Conor Oberst, DJ Shadow, Village People Head Up Golden Plains 2015

Arguably the country’s best little festival – probably tied with it’s identical twin Meredith – the magnificent team behind the Golden Plains festival have dropped their absolutely massive lineup for their 2015 iteration. Trust us when we say it’s absolutely sick.

Though picking individual highlight acts out of the lineup might be a tough ask, we’re giving it a crack nonetheless.
Obviously you’re going to have some big international names hitting up the Meredith Natural Amphitheatre. So how does prolific indie crooner and the man with the brightest eyes around Conor Oberst grab you? Or maybe even Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks? Keen for a dance, how’s DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist suit your style? And if all that’s not enough, they’re just casually throwing in the goddamned VILLAGE PEOPLE into the mix as well.
But on top of all that you’ve got a pile of local legends who’ll be saddling up the van and heading out Ballarat-way come next March, with the likes of Something For Kate, Courtney Barnett, the legendary Radio Birdman, and the photobonging lords The Bennies all coming along for the ride.
The ballot for tickets is now officially open – which you can get well involved with over at the Golden Plains website – and will be wide open for all your vital details until precisely 9:09pm next Tuesday the 21st of October. So get cracking!
Here’s the full lineup (in alphabetical order) for your perusal.
