Sydney, we don’t know what AMAZING thing you did to have enough good karma for this little treat, but whatever it is: WELL DONE.
Internationally-adored drag superstar Conchita Wurst is currently in Oz for South Australia’s LGBTQI Feast Festival, and she decided to aurally/visually delight some other sweet spots in Australia too.
It’s been announced today that Conchita will be playing a huge Mardi Gras special in Sydney, called ‘Conchita: From Vienna With Love’.
She’ll be joined on stage by the ever-gorgeous national icon Courtney Act, in all-star lineup backed by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. The show’s tracklist gonna include Conchita’s self-titled album, her Eurovision hit ‘Rise Like A Phoenix’, and songs from a range of artists who have inspired her, like Shirley Bassey and Cher.
It’ll be held at the Sydney Opera House on the 3rd of March, and it’s an official part of the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras schedule.

And this will be us all in the crowd, watching her magnificence:
