After poignant tributes from Russell Brand M.I.A, Big Boi and Mark Ronson, Coldplay honoured Amy Winehouse Sunday with a brief cover of “Rehab” during their festival closing set at Splendour In The Grass. A plaintive Chris Martin led Woodford through the song’s chorus before segueing into “Fix You” (read into that what you will) from the band’s third studio album X&Y. Death seemed to be a recurring theme at the festival with The Middle East performing their last set ever and Kanye West dedicating his performance and every performance thereafter to his late mother Donda.
