The Massive Typo In Coachella’s Line-Up Has An Unexpected Explanation

One day after punters scratched their heads over an apparent typo nestled in the 2019 Coachella festival line-up, it appears the massive music event was right after all – and fans didn’t even know it.

In case you missed it, rap fans were left baffled by the festival’s inclusion of an artist labelled Gucci Gang. The festival’s website linked to a profile page featuring the visage of rapper Gucci Mane, leaving some to speculate the festival had somehow listed the Atlanta muso under the title of Lil Pump‘s 2017 smash song Gucci Gang.

The apparent typo left folks especially confused, considering the time and effort that goes into curating the line-up for one of the planet’s biggest fests.

However, TMZ reports the Gucci Gang page on the official Coachella site has been adjusted to show Gucci Mane, Lil Pump, and Smokepurpp as some kind of new rap supergroup.

A representative for the festival confirmed to the outlet that Gucci Gang is, in fact, the correct name for the act.

None of the three individual artists have directly addressed the line-up listing, but Lil Pump posted an Instagram Story featuring Smokepurpp yesterday, lending credence to the theory that… yeah, everything here is above board.

Lil Pump and Smokepurpp have been mates since they were kids in Florida, and both have featured heavily in the others’ work. Meanwhile, Gucci Mane wound up his The Unusual Suspects tour late last year, which featured none other than Smokepurpp on the roster. He also performed alongside Lil Pump at last year’s BET Awards.

We eagerly await any further announcements from the fest, revealing team-ups in the form of apparent typos. You can catch the full list HERE.
