In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police, who investigate Chris Brown‘s crimes, and the district attorneys, who try their best to prosecute him. This is not their story. This is the story of how Chris Brown is already out of prison and partying with porn stars, because the system is broken and we can absolutely not have nice things.
In May, Brown was imprisoned in Los Angeles. We attempted to get to the bottom of his bizarre and complicated web of legal fuckery here, but in summary, he was thrown in jail for breaking the conditions of his parole following his 2009 assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna. At the time, it looked like the singer would remain behind bars for at least the next four months, however, as of last Monday, he has again been released back into society.
Brown celebrated his release with a big Beverly Hills bash this past Thursday, with various celebrity friends and hangers-on, as well as porn stars in various stages of undress. Brown’s girlfriend Karrueche Tran hosted the occasion. She led him to the party blindfolded, rather like a hostage being led into the headquarters of a Colombian cartel, as one of his tracks played inside.
Tyga, Big Sean, Akon, Lil Romeo and Amber Rose showed up, and probably did not bring one box of Cadbury Favourites between them. Brown and his buddy T-Pain were chillin’ like a pair of villains. I’m guessing there’s a reason the guy’s named after ‘pain’ and not, y’know, ‘dignity’.
Adult performer Bonnie Rotten, who I think is somewhere in this picture, also attended.
What a fun, sexy time for Chris Brown. The singer still has to answer assault charges in Washington D.C., and prosecutors are pushing for an earlier trial date, presumably so he can be out even sooner, because everything is awful.
