WELL SHIT: Childish Gambino’s Tour Has Moved From ‘Postponed’ To ‘Cancelled’

Bad news, mates. Despite efforts to reschedule, the postponed Childish Gambino tour now appears to have been cancelled outright, according to information obtained from the Sydney Opera House this afternoon.

The tour, which was scheduled for this month, was initially canned in late October after Donald Glover suffered an injury while performing in Dallas.

However a brief reprieve was offered to punters after Opera House officials asserted they were working with promoter Live Nation to find suitable alternative dates for the tour, urging punters with tickets to hold onto them.

That brief glimmer of hope now appears to have been extinguished altogether, with the Opera House confirming no suitable dates could be found, meaning the planned tour is now formally cancelled altogether.

A statement issued to ticketholders this afternoon confirmed the postponed dates were off due to scheduling issues.

Unfortunately, the postponed performance of Childish Gambino at the Sydney Opera House will no longer be rescheduled. Live Nation were working to reschedule Childish Gambino’s Australian tour following an injury he sustained at a Dallas concert in September, however due to scheduling conflicts there are currently no suitable dates.

The tour was originally set to take in Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney, as well as an appearance at Spilt Milk in Canberra and a special show at the Sydney Opera House forecourt.

The Opera House has informed punters who bought tickets either online or over the phone with a credit card that their refunds will be automatically processed. However those who bought at the physical Opera House box office will need to return there to make arrangements.

Refunds for other dates on the tour will be processed through the respective points of purchase.
