Casting a (very) wide net to drag in Australia’s best only available celebrity talent, Celebrity Apprentice Australia will return for a third season of kinda famous people jostling for screen time to prop up their ailing careers. Not scrimping on the wow factor or the opportunity for some blatant network cross-promotion, Channel 9 have recruited the girl who came second in Big Brother as well as that singer who probably canoodled with Paris Hilton in 2003.
In all fairness, if Rob Mills isn’t your cup of tea or you don’t know who the hell Layla Subritzky is, Channel 9 have managed to assemble some potentially explosive match-ups. Sure, Aussie swimming legends Dawn Fraser and Stephanie Rice are playing nice for the cameras now but will the wily Fraser be able to resist ripping into her younger foe when the going gets tough. And who will hold former Ready Steady Cook host Peter Everett (genuine celebrity) back when he tries to jump the table and claw Mark Bouris’ eyes out when he receives his inevitable early season marching orders.
Celebrity Apprentice Australia begins filming this week and will air after Easter.
