Carly Rae Jepsen Slowly Acquires Cats In The Video For Her Hot New Banger

It’s been three-and-a-half long years since Carly Rae Jepsen dropped her Polaris Prize-shortlisted 2015 album E•MO•TION, and the world is extremely ready for a new LP of wall-to-wall pop bangers. While the announcement of a new album still eludes us, the undisputed queen of adult contemporary Canadian pop has today graced us with a new video for her latest single Now That I Found You. And if you’re one of the many who is absolutely obsessed with cats, you’re in for an absolute treat.

The new video features Jepsen, she of the undeniable banger, slowly gathering cats.

That’s it. That’s basically the whole video.

She finds a cat, takes it home, slowly gathers more, identical cats, rips catnip out of a shisha bong, and blasts off into space.

It absolutely kicks ass.

Reportedly, Jepsen has recorded somewhere in the vicinity of 200 songs for her upcoming album, which has neither title nor release date at this stage.

Now That I Found You, which is being used heavily in promotion for the upcoming third season of Netflix’s Queer Eye, was released last week in conjunction with another new tune, No Drug Like Me. Those two songs followed on from the prior release of Party For One, which featured a film clip that, much like the cat parade above, extolled the virtues of hanging out by yourself and having a sick-ass time.

That’s all the information about the new album that we have at this time, so while you’re waiting please enjoy Carly Rae Jepsen telling the story of how she once watched Seal eat an entire loaf of bread on a plane, one slice at a time.

As god as my witness, I have to see that video before my career is over.

This is my life’s work now.

Carly. The Seal bread video.

I must see it.

Please.
