Hip-hop producer and rapper BoB has retaliated against fellow rappers Odd Future after hearing Tyler, The Creator’s ‘Yonkers.’
The new song ‘No Future’, released by the ‘Airplanes’ hitmaker in the US this morning, might have something to do with that warm and fuzzy line in ‘Yonkers’ where Tyler threatens to “crash that fuckin’ airplane that that faggot nigger BoB was in.” BoB doesn’t directly take potshots at the crew (apart from the very obvious title), but he definitely drops enough references that you know who he’s talking about. Listen below.
Sample lines include “Mmm, hey, I eat it like dinner / You see this shit I gotta deal with from these beginners?” and “This is target practise but I don’t even pull the fuckin’ trigger anymore ’cause it’s a waste of bullets.” Keen observers will also notice it’s the first time BoB has released something since his debut album where he actually sounds like a rapper.
Tyler, naturally, heard the track pretty quickly and reacted with remarkable tenacity…
..for all of two minutes.
