There’s only a select handful of records from around 10 to 15 years ago that truly demand the full album tour nostalgia treatment, but holy hell is Bloc Party‘s incredible 2005 debut Silent Alarm ever one of them.
The enduring British indie outfit has already sold out a run of European shows where they’re playing the album from cover to cover, but today they announced they’re bringing that blessed tour all the way out here to Australia in November, so you can go ahead and cancel those flight alerts (maybe).
That’s right, my good binches, Bloc Party will be playing Silent Alarm, in full, in Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney this coming November (sorry Adelaide).
The group unveiled the string of dates a short while ago, with tickets to go on sale Monday at 9am.

Silent Alarm burst onto the scene in 2005 amidst a swelling indie rock boom, instantly announcing Bloc Party as one of the premiere acts of the time, and birthing a slew of hit singles including Like Eating Glass, Helicopter, Pioneers, So Here We Are, Positive Tension, and Banquet.
It is still regarded as one of the greatest albums of the 2000s, and has sold well in excess of 1 million copies worldwide.
It slaps. It absolutely slaps.
