BlakRoc 2 Is On Its Way

The Black Keys have announced today that they’ll be reviving their BlakRoc project for a second outing, great news for anyone who loves garage blues and raucous hip-hop, often at the same time.

Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney finish albums faster than most of us finish breakfast. Word is they’ve already wrapped up work on their seventh LP (their last was the Grammy-winning Brothers) with Dangermouse and now they’re just hanging in the studio making every white kid who ever bought a copy of Illmatic heaps jealous. Talib Kweli, Curren$y, Wiz Khalifa, The Cool Kids & Jim Jones are already on the roster, joining the likes of Raekwon, Pharoahe Monch and RZA from what will now inevitably be referred to as ‘Blakroc 1’.

This is all so unfair. Where was our phonecall?
