Bill Murray Bartends At SXSW

Despite Jack White’s penchant for Tesla coils, Cate Blanchett’s turn as her own bogan twin, and Alfred Molina’s claim that Steve Coogan is in fact his distant cousin – the most surreal and therefore entertaining vignette in Jim Jarmusch’s “Coffee And Cigarettes” is “Delirum” a magnificent set-piece starring a paranoid Bill Murray and the Wu Tang Clan’s most health conscious members – the RZA and the GZA.

In a serendipitous case of life imitating art, that exact trio of epic-ness (Bill Murray, RZA and GZA) recreated the scene in a recent barhop around SXSW – just replace coffee with beer and cigarettes with facial hair. Awesome right? Well if the fact that a near sixty year old thespian fraternizes with Staten Island’s finest in real life isn’t mind-blowing enough, Chill Murray then proceeded to man the bar and serve the common hirsute folk for no apparent reason. Consider this further proof why Bill Murray ain’t nothing to fuck with.

And for those who haven’t seen it, this is probably one of the best videos on Youtube. To Liquid Swords, to Bobby Digital and to Bill “Groundhog Day Ghostbusting Ass” Murray.
