Big Scary, Violent Soho, Smith St Band Unite In Support Of #LetThemStay

The growing disquiet amongst the Australian arts community against the Federal Government‘s doggedly-held policy of processing asylum seekers at offshore detention facilities is certainly becoming less of a din, and more of a roar.

The galvanising effect that the Liberal Government‘s morally abhorrent policy making has had is nothing short of remarkable. We’ve already seen 100 of Australia’s top stand up comedians come together to collectively sign a public letter of objection to the policy, and now some of the country’s biggest and most popular young bands have followed suit.
Big Scary gathered together a plethora of their pals, including Violent Soho and The Smith Street Band to post a united stand against the Turnbull Government and the facilities at Nauru and Manus Island.
The group of musicians gathered together during the recently completed Laneway Festival tour for a photo declaring Musicians Against Offshore Processing.
The group photo also included Laneway MC Kirin J Callinan, Japanese Wallpaper, Airling, Ku?ka, and Hermitude members El Gusto and Luke Dubs.

The Federal Government is preparing to send some 267 asylum seekers back to Nauru, a number which includes scores of children and babies.
