Justin Bieber’s Mates Say He’s Not Quitting Music, Just Takin’ Some Bieb Time

Justin Bieber seems to be on some kind of bizarre, reverse rumspringa right now, cutting his world tour short to reconnect with his Christian faith and roll with his really intense, frequently-shirtless pastor Carl Lentz.

Reports that Biebs is quitting the music business to devote his life to religion, however, are greatly exaggerated. A number of the singer’s mates and acquaintances – generously described by TMZ as his “inner circle” – are insisting that “his faith won’t stop him from being an artist.”

TMZ’s Bieber sources, whoever they might be, say that the singer is “constantly in and out of studios working on new tunes”, as music is a “major release” for him, and this won’t be changing any time soon.

While you can expect new music in the future, there may not be another world tour on the scale of the Purpose jaunt, which reportedly left him exhausted after 18 months on the road. Per TMZ:

We’re told he has not recorded since pulling the plug on his tour, but he’s made it clear he intends to return. He just doesn’t have a date in mind yet.

Our sources also say he’s adamant he’ll return to touring too … when the time is right, but most likely NOT for 2 consecutive years — as he attempted to do this time.

Either way, let’s just leave our boy Bieber alone for now to enjoy whatever delicious snack he brought home in this brown paper bag.
