Your Girl Beyoncé Is Strongly Rumoured To Be Headlining Coachella 2018

The Coachella 2018 lineup will officially be announced in early January, but the rumour mill is currently in overdrive, with reports that your girl Beyoncé will be headlining, along with resurgent hip-hop legend Eminem and smooth sex jam guy The Weeknd.

Beyoncé was due to headline this year’s festival in April, but pulled out of her performance after learning she was pregnant with twins. At the time, her entertainment company Parkwood released a joint statement with the festival organisers, assuring punters that she would be back:

““Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyoncé has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival.”

There has been no further official statement made since this announcement back in February, but music blog Consequence Of Sound are reporting that “industry insiders” have confirmed the above three acts as 2018 headliners.

Eminem made his one and only Coachella appearance in 2012 as a guest of Dr. Dre, while Bey made surprise appearances in 2010 and 2014. The Weeknd played at this year’s festival, but this will be his first time headlining the main stage.

In recent weeks, there have also been whispers that a reformed Destiny’s Child will be appearing at the festival, based on certain cryptic social media posts from former members. If this is true, then Bey would still be headlining, she’d just be bringing a few friends along with her.

We’ll have to wait until early next year to find out if any of these rumours are true, but you might as well go ahead and start stressing out about plane tickets and travel plans right now. Coachella 2018 runs from April 13th-15th and 20th-22nd at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
