Ben & Liam’s Wake-Up War W/ Their Boss Has Escalated To The Point Of Bagpipes

Because one good turn deserves not just another, but another after that, Triple J morning lunatics Ben & Liam have fired another shot in the quickly-escalating Wake-Up Call war with their boss, Lachie Macara.

For those of you still unfamiliar with the whole saga, a quick recap: Last week, the Breakfast boys gave their boss a rude awakening at 6:15am, waking him up by blasting Bring Me To Life down the phone line at about 5,000 decibels.

Later that week, Macara returned serve by convincing Ben & Liam to come into the studio at Sparrow’s Fart on Saturday morning under the guise of an exclusive interview with Kendrick Lamar.

And now, this.

At the eye-wateringly early time of 3:45am, Ben & Liam rocked up on Macara’s doorstep (really, Nina Las Vegas‘s house where Macara is crashing on the couch after only recently getting back into the country which, fair enough) with a godforsaken bagpipe player in tow.

The result? Advantage: The boys.

Good morning, Lachie.

The duo replayed audio of their latest salvo on-air earlier this morning, before proposing a truce with Macara (which he did not readily accept, mind you) and declaring themselves the winners of the Prank War.

But if there’s one absolute truth about Prank Wars, it’s that they’re never truly over. They may lay dormant for a while, but there’s always a next time.

Might be best to sleep with one eye open for a bit, Ben & Liam.

Just in case.
