Back when we went to good ol’ Sydney U (read: last year), Hermann’s Bar was where all the hipsters went to bludge class and drink cider in the sun and pretend that they weren’t actually at a tertiary institution at all. In keeping with that theme, and possibly encouraging a bit more involvement from you lot, The O-Week guys have secured some great local talent to usher your way into the world of learning.
Fresh off their AMP win for Best Debut Album, Sydney’s The Holidays will headline Bands Ahoy, serving as a reminder, no doubt, of the time period just passed. Joining them are Triple J Unearthed winners Jinja Safari and fresh converts Fishing, Idea Idea and Eagle & the Worm. That’s like a mini-festival on campus. And the cider’s cheap, too.
