YEP. The suits at Nickelodeon have greenlit an animated series for wee lil’ children based on ‘Baby Shark’, because presumably those over the age of five have not suffered enough. Jesus WEPT. I know this is probably going to make a shit-tonne of money but how far must we stray from the light.

There’s yet to be any concrete details about the telly series but the mere news of the show was enough to evoke a reaction from millions around the world. As it stands, the tune has [check notes] a whopping 2.8 – almost 2.9 – billion views on YouTube. Pinkfong, the company behind the viral sensation, shidded out the song back in 2015.
The presser, via The Hollywood Reporter, says it all:
‘Baby Shark’ has captured the imagination of millions of fans around the world, so it’s no surprise it’s one of the top 10 most-viewed videos on YouTube ever.
