Australian Music Prize Unveils 2011 Judging Panel

42 people you are likely to see at the Splendour Gold Bar members of the Australian music industry have been named to this year’s Australian Music Prize judging panel. Their mission? Find eight other albums to shortlist with Gotye’s “Making Mirrors”.

Featured musicians include: Dave Faulkner (Hoodoo Gurus), Tim Freedman (The Whitlams), DJ Lorna Clarkson, Pete Luscombe (The Black Sorrows), Renee Geyer, Julian Hamilton (The Presets), Kram (Spiderbait), Ian Haug (Powderfinger), Richie Lewis (Tumbleweed), ex-pat British producer Lees Groves from Level 7 Studios (Gwen Stefani, Goldfrapp, Depeche Mode), Tim Shiels aka Faux Pas, and Cloud Control’s Ulrich Lenffer.

To enter, artists just need to submit their album via www.australianmusicprize.com.au from September 1st – October 21st 2011. Past winners include Cloud Control, Lisa Mitchell, Eddy Current Suppression Ring and The Mess Hall.
